Liberal Arts (Minor)

Overview

In addition to the required Interdisciplinary Studies core curriculum, students can earn a minor in Liberal Arts by completing an additional six credit hours in a traditional liberal arts field that are not part of the required IDS courses and not part of a major or another minor program

Note: No courses can be substituted for these four IDS courses.

Additional Courses (6 hours)

These additional hours:

  1. Must be within the traditional liberal arts (pre-professional programs excluded)

  2. Cannot be courses that also count for credit within the required IDS Core Curriculum, including Artistic Expression courses

  3. Cannot also count for credit in either a major or another minor

  4. Must be approved by the student’s advisor and the IDS Chair
