American Sign Language (Minor)

Overview

The American Sign Language minor allows students to study American Deaf Culture through linguistic and cultural lenses by taking a minimum of 18 credits of selected coursework. In ASL courses students will learn: vocabulary, grammar, linguistic parameters, and conceptual accuracy. Through Deaf Education and other courses students will learn about Deaf culture and how it functions in the broader American culture.
