MUST 2021 Digital Collections Management
Museums preserve and share their collections with a wide range of users. A vital element of this mission is keeping track of collection objects. Museums use a variety of methods to perform this activity although most are moving to collection management software (CMS). In this course, we will examine the desirable features of collection management software. We will utilize PastPerfect Web Edition (PPWE) which "encompasses every aspect of collection and contact management by providing tools to streamline and automate accessions, exhibits, condition reports, loans, and many other common museum practices.
