KINE 3203 Concepts of Strength and Conditioning

Concepts of Strength and Conditioning will cover a variety of exercise topics that will allow for a working knowledge and skill set of scientific foundation and practical/applied knowledge across sports. Students will use critical thinking and scientific analyses to observe biomechanics, bioenergetics, discover nutrition strategies, and compare anaerobic/aerobic systems. Students will demonstrate or summarize a program design for various training strategies and discuss rehabilitation, reconditioning, and periodization to prevent injuries. This course is designed to provide a micro-credential for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS).
