HIST 4203 Reconstruction of the American South
The issues emanating out of Reconstruction—access to citizenship and voting rights, the relative powers of the national and state governments, the relationship between political and economic democracy, domestic terrorism—continue to be sources of contention and controversy that shape the social and political landscape within contemporary American Society. This course is designed to examine why this is so.
