Significant Newly Acquired Information
In cases whereby newly acquired or discovered documentation, sufficient enough to alter the original decision is submitted as an appeal request beyond the expired appeal request deadline, the matter may be reviewed by the Chief Human Resources Officer and Title IX Director or designee for consideration of re-opening the case. If the newly acquired or discovered documentation was not accessible during the original appeal deadline, then the Chief Human Resources Officer and Title IX Director or designee may conduct an initial review of the newly submitted appeal request form and remand the case to the original hearing body for re-opening of the hearing to allow reconsideration of the original determination and/or sanction(s). If the newly acquired or discovered documentation is not sufficient enough to alter the original decision, the appeal request may be denied. The decision of the Chief Human Resources Officer and Title IX Director or their designee will be final.
