MUST 3003 Museum & Gallery Curation

An introduction into the modern principles of museum and gallery layout, exhibition, and atmosphere. Using the “Integrated Museum Approach,” students will study and utilize the practices and critical thinking skills necessary to create a twenty-first century exhibition space. Students will learn the role of the curator and the dynamic vocabulary that creates the connection with the visitor. USAO’s own Nesbitt Gallery, ArtWrecker, and Indigenous Cultures Museum will provide the hands-on experience of working in a real-world scenario.
