BIOL 2114 Food Science

Food Science is an introductory course that looks at the history and future direction of our food supply. This interdisciplinary four-hour class deals with methods of testing food samples, grading meat, eggs and poultry, preparation techniques for various food groups, and permanent storage of the food. It also has a hands-on component where students are taught the techniques discussed in the lecture and then enjoy the fruits of their labors.
