Program Modality

Eligibility for University Housing

  • Students who are formally admitted to and enrolled in fully online programs (such as the Online BS in Business Administration program) are not eligible for university housing.

  • Students must be enrolled full-time with a minimum of nine (9) credit hours of in-person or hybrid coursework each fall and spring term to be eligible for university housing. International students and student-athletes may have additional requirements for in-person enrollment.

  • Students who switch from a residential program to a fully online program will lose eligibility for on-campus housing.

Tuition and Fee Structure

  • Students enrolled in programs composed of courses delivered in-person, hybrid, or a combination of in-person, hybrid, and online, will be assessed the standard USAO tuition and fee rates.

  • Fully online programs have a different tuition and fee structure designed for the non-residential market, reflecting a different delivery model and support services.

  • Students formally admitted to and enrolled in a fully online program typically do not pay campus-based fees.

  • The tuition and fee rates associated with designated fully online programs are exclusively for students formally admitted to and enrolled 100% in those fully online programs designed for the non-residential, distance learner.

Enrollment in Fully Online Programs

  • Designated fully online programs are primarily intended for non-residential, distance learners who cannot participate in a traditional campus setting due to geography, work, or other life circumstances.

  • Students who switch from a residential program to a fully online program will lose eligibility for all institutional scholarships, including institutional scholarships they have already been awarded.

  • Students enrolled in fully online programs may still receive other forms of financial aid depending on eligibility.
